It looks like Stephen went through the same suffering and pain that I did waiting on the moderator, though he kept quiet. How could anyone keep quiet going through that experience.

Next time I think my comment might read…

An elderly woman goes to the doctor for a checkup. She says, “Doctor, I haven’t had sex for years now, and I was wondering how I can increase my husband’s sex drive.”

It’s that time of year again,with the most recent applicant applying to join Northern Irish bloggers looking like his/her blog doesn’t exist. If it did exist the blog would be called The Failings of the Progressive Unionist Party and would be about [as the applicant has written]…

The PUP would seem to have so many things in it favour. Socialist in an urban area, pro-union (for a unionist electorate a difinite plus) and anti-sectarian. Yet the party fails miserably at elections. Why is this so? Does their continuing link with the UVF work against them? Is there no fertile ground for the left within unionism? This article I find very confusing. Firstly I haven’t clue who wrote it, as they don’t show online who’s to blame for confusing me today.I’d have expected that the question posed in the title Tweeters, tweeters everywhere, but they lack direction might have been answered in the rest of the text.Instead we have been reccomnded websites to visit. I’m not sure how these websites/directories will help tweeters gain direction. Further on in the article the question suggested in the title is still not answered instead we’re given boring stats and the author talks about self-promoting businesses people.

Does the editor @The Bel Tel ever read what’s sent in to him/her?

I was saddened to read in the the newsletter from CWN…

Unfortunately due to the cuts in funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Ulla’s Nib will no longer be published. We are deeply saddened by this turn of events but in the current financial circumstances the organisation can no longer afford to produce the magazine. We thank you all for your kind words of support and hope that Ulla’s Nib can be resurrected at some point in the future.

I’ve got a problem. Well, actually, more than one problem. You’ll be glad to hear I’m only going to share one of my problems with you.It’s not really a suitable problem or that serious a problem that I could ring up the Samaritans and ask their advice.It’s not really a problem to share with a religious person, they just wouldn’t understand.

OK, so do you want to know what the problem is?

I’ve a follower of this blog and I normally like to reciprocate.The thing is, the follower has a blog called ‘Drival’ A great title for a blog but the problem is , it’s full of tits. There seems to be tits everywhere. It’s as bad as being in a dressing room full of strippers. I don’t mind seeing an odd tit, I mean an even tit (you know what I mean). If every time I posted a blog post or a link or this’n’that on here and on the way to do it I looked at tits I’d hate to think what type of blog this would turn into.Should I start following ‘Drival’ and see what happens, or just ignore it and feel guilty for not reciprocating? Christians used to wear wristbands with WWJD printed on them. What Would Jesus Do, in this situation?

OK the title is misleading, but you never know. The audience in the BBC comedy show ‘Question Time’ last night reminded me of the wannabe’s that appear on X Factor. I’m wondering is Simon Cowell annoyed that so many people were watching Question Time last night, the same audience that watch X Factor. The same people that put any act that sings on X Factor to number 1 in the charts. Now, if Nick Griffin could sing, maybe he can. If he had a single out and if he made an appearance on X Factor tomorrow, just think next week he could be number 1 in the British charts ( the charts for the British people)

What songs would Nick sing? Could we the British public get Nick a British song to sing on British television to be watched by the British people?

A day-long celebration of poetry, song, story & Denvir’s Hotel on 25th October 2009

Write! Down & Denvir’s Hotel, one of Co Down’s most historic locations, invite you to a unique event. Denvir’s – a coaching inn from early 1800s; associated with the United Irishmen; formerly a debtors’ sanctuary – is a place where social activities of all kinds, past and present, mingle. In the early hours of 25th October (6.30-10.30am), Write! Down writers & artists will create works of art inspired by the haunting atmosphere of Denvir’s Hotel – working through the imaginary hour that vanishes as the clocks go back.

We don’t expect you to get up so early!! But we invite you to join us for:

11.15am-1pm: Turn Back Time Readings
Readings by renowned poets, Damian Smyth, Kate Newmann & Joan Newmann
Impressions & work developed during the early morning sessions

2.30pm onwards: Turn Back Time
